Vein Treatment Can Remove Unsightly Surface Veins
Some people are plagued with spider veins and varicose veins from an early age. These twisted, bulging, herniated veins under the surface of the skin make your legs look older and less appealing than they should. Fortunately, a couple of forms of laser vein treatment have been developed to easily and nearly painlessly remove these blemishes.
There are two basic types of laser treatments for varicose and spider veins. The first, simple laser treatment, is non-invasive. Its performed entirely on the outside of the skin with a focused laser. Simple laser treatments are only effective on spider veins and very small varicose veins. If these are your only surface vein problems, youll most likely need to have laser treatment at Juvia Med Spa over several sessions, spaced 6 to 12 weeks apart.
Both of these procedures are nearly painless and have very little recovery time, as opposed to older procedures, like vein ligation and vein stripping, which are much more invasive and require general anesthesia and a long recovery time.
We also offer Asclera injections. This service is used to treat spider veins and varicose veins in the legs. The treatment is an injection into the veins. Once injected, Asclera works by damaging the cells lining the inside of blood vessels. Over time, the vein will be replaced with tissue. Sessions can last 15 to 45 minutes, depending on the number of veins treated. Compression stockings should be worn after the treatment. If additional treatment sessions are required, they are usually separated by 1-2 weeks. For 2-3 days after treatment, heavy exercise, sunbathing , long flights and hot baths should be avoided. Results are typically seen approximately 3 weeks post-treatment injections. Veins who receive this injection will be permanently removed, but additional veins may develop, so additional follow up may be necessary.
